BALTHAZAR TF1. As season 4 of the Balthazar series begins this Thursday, March 10 on TF1, viewers will discover a new duo from the first episode. But where did Hélène de Fougerolles go?
[Mis à jour le 10 mars 2022 à 20h30] Viewers have been waiting for the sequel to the Balthazar series on TF1 for a year and a half. Season 4, which starts this Thursday, March 10, promises fans of the series a brand new duo. Indeed, Hélène de Fougerolles no longer appears in the casting of the TF1 investigation series. The one who camped Hélène Bach alongside Tomer Sisley since the start of the series has indeed left the series, as she announced at the end of 2020 after the broadcast of season 3. In an Instagram post, the actress explained that new professional adventures were opening up to her after Balthazar. “We couldn’t continue this dog / cat story indefinitely, it would have gotten you tired” specified the actress on the social network. The choice may have come as a surprise since, precisely, at the very end of season 3, a new dynamic between Bach and Balthazar seemed to open up because, seriously injured, the medical examiner announced to Hélène that he loved her… viewers will therefore never be able to see what a Balthazar/Bach couple could give sinceHelen of Fougerolles left the series.
Shortly after this announcement, the actress returned to this decision, which does not necessarily seem to come from her, in the columns of Télé Loisirs. “A lot of people thought it was me who left but it wasn’t my decision. It’s a decision that was taken at many levels: the screenwriters, the producer, TF1… We all agreed concerted. The idea was for them to start writing again, because once the two main characters were together, it was less interesting. There was an idea of renewal, and as it is called Balthazar, if he there was one that needed to be renewed, it was more Tomer than me”. Of which act. Exit Hélène de Fougerolles and welcome Constance Labbé, whom viewers will now discover in the role of Camille Costes, who will now form an explosive duo with Raphaël Balthazar.
How was the departure of Hélène de Fougerolles justified in the scenario for season 4 of Balthazar? This is one of the questions that remained unanswered. We now know a little more now that the first episode was broadcast on Salto before the broadcast on TF1. We learn in particular that after coming out of the coma, Balthazar pushed away Hélène Bach, who was however impatiently awaiting his awakening. Deeply hurt by this twist of fate, Hélène Bach then decided to leave mainland France to settle with her children in Polynesia. It will therefore be difficult for Balthazar to cross paths again.
