Proof once again that Spider-Man is the most bankable superhero in pop culture, Imsomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment tell us that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide in just 24 hours. A thunderous launch which makes it a new sales speed record for a PlayStation Studios title. We will now have to wait before knowing if the game will do better than other titles over a longer period, since we remember that Sony’s previous exclusives have also achieved impressive figures.
