After 17 months of blockage, Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed and submitted to Parliament yesterday the application for Sweden’s membership in NATO. After validating Finland’s entry on March 30, the Turkish president finally lifted his veto in July, during the Atlantic Alliance summit held in Vilnius.
