Shortly after 10 p.m., SOS-alarm requested a police intervention at an address on Stora Kvarngatan in Malmö. Once there, two men acted threateningly towards the police.
– We perceived the situation to be so serious that shots had to be fired, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police in the South region.
The two men met and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. Their injury status is unclear.
– We are investigating the incident as grossly illegal threats against officials. A specially appointed prosecutor will parallelly look at the police’s actions during the incident, says Lundqvist.
