Psychic powers are normal in the fantasy world of Extraordinary: Ages 18 and over each person has a special ability. Only Jen (Máiréad Tyers) is now 25 and shows no predisposition to be exceptional. Which understandably frustrates them. Luckily, she has her roommates who will go on a journey of discovery with her to hopefully get a superpower out of Jen.

Anyone who is tired of the many Marvel superhero series and wants one again refreshingly different spin on supernatural powers If you want to see it, Extraordinary is the right place for you. Because in the funniest superhero series of the year, the supernatural talents are rarely helpful additions to one’s own life.
Summoning fish or converting all sorts of objects into PDF format can be found in everyday fantasy life, for example hardly a heroic application. Jen’s best friend Carrie (Sofia Oxenham) summons dead people into her body, which gets her a job in the English bureaucracy as a will witness at a law firm (or lets her channel Adolf Hitler at parties). And Jen’s mother can manipulate technology, even though she actually has no idea about technology. Jizzlord (Luke Rollason), on the other hand, no longer knows anything about his previous life after his cat transformation.
Humor and difference: Extraordinary brings good fantasy feelings to Disney+
Imagine Emma Moran’s series Extraordinary like the more outlandish superhero entertainment Misfits or The Boys – only without the violence and as Feelgood series with humor à la Sex Education. By normalizing useless superpowers, the English fantasy comedy comes across as wonderfully grounded and can fully focus on its characters despite the crazy world in the background.
