The man, who has previously been convicted of data breach after making illegal beatings, denied the crime. He admitted that he made thousands of hits on the registers, explaining them that he wanted to help people.
He also stated that he did not understand that the beatings were illegal and explained that he therefore lacked intent, according to Dagens Juridik.
The man appealed the district court’s verdict to the Court of Appeal, which has now upheld the verdict. He must pay a 30-day fine for the 19 cases of data breach for which he is convicted, and will also lose his job, the newspaper writes.
