Behind the title Beast You! There are many legendary stories hidden – and an even more iconic original title: Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. In 1988, the fantasy horror film directed by David DeCoteau was released in US cinemas and was received by a considerable number of critics.
However, the film has now found a loyal following and is celebrated as a trash gem. Last but not least, there are three absolute ones here B-movie scream queens from the 1980s: Linnea Quigley (Graduation Day), Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre) and Michelle Bauer (Nightmare Sisters).
Beast You! on TV: The cult goblin slasher unleashes fantasy horror in the bowling center
Beast You! tells of a group of young people who break into a bowling center to steal a trophy as part of an acceptance ritual into a student union. But then everything turns out completely differently. The young ones accidentally free a goblinwho turns out to be an extremely unfriendly fellow.

One of the reasons why Beast You! enjoys cult status today is its origin. The film is known for… shot in just twelve days became. DeCoteau and his team had few resources at their disposal. The filming took place in the middle of the night before the bowling alley resumed normal operations during the day.
But that’s exactly DeCoteau’s specialty. The director and producer made his mark in the 1980s inexpensively produced B and C movies made a name. The crazy Beast You! is definitely one of the more memorable works that can be found in his filmography, which already includes 180 (!) titles.

Beast You! runs tonight, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. on Tele 5. The film will be broadcast as part of the SchleFaZ series by Oliver Kalkove and Peter Rütten, which is about “the worst films of all time” goes. The broadcast lasts until 00:45 a.m. The repeat follows at 2:10 a.m. on Tele 5.
