It was during Thursday night that Vancouver suffered defeat against Tampa, in the match that ended 4-3 to the home team.
– I think we played much better than in the last game. We were pretty good until the second period when we conceded several goals. It’s such dips that you can’t, small details that we have to clean up, says Canucks forward Brock Boeser after the game.

Like the Sedin brothers

The loss came despite Elias Pettersson adding to his scoring tally with his two assists. The 24-year-old now tops the NHL’s scoring record with 8 points scored (1+7). He is tied for first place with the Ottawa Senators Alex DeBrincat.

Tampa Bay’s Swedish defender Victor Hedman left the ice scoreless.

Pettersson’s seven assists in the first four games is a big goalpost. He is now together with Daniel Sedin2014/2015, and Henrik Sedin2013/2014 the only Vancouver players in the last 35(!) seasons to record six or more assists in their first four games of the season.
