Hundreds died after the packed al-Ahli hospital in Gaza was hit by a large explosion on Tuesday evening.
The death toll is difficult to verify, but witnesses that international media have spoken to make it clear that many were killed. Images show rows of body bags, remains of a hospital building and crowds of mourners.
Israel accuses the armed Palestinian group Islamic Jihad of accidentally causing the explosion. According to an Israeli statement, the group fired several rockets from an area near the hospital, one of which misfired.
These are pure lies, object both Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian UN ambassador Riyad Mansur.
The Liverpool star and the Egyptian Salah are now making demands on the world leader.
