All the running in Starfield can be really frustrating at times, but one player has found a way to be 35% faster consistently.
In Starfield, a significant portion of the gameplay involves exploring planets. However, since you can’t use vehicles, mounts or other means of transportation in Bethesda’s latest role-playing game, you’ll be traveling a lot on foot – not particularly the fastest way to travel.
A player has now shared a trick on Reddit that allows him to run 35% faster consistently, but it also required a lot of preparation.

What kind of trick is this? User Historical_Age_9921 reports on Reddit that he uses the “Amp” item to consistently run 35% faster. This isn’t anything special at first, because Starfield already points out the effect of the product in the item description.
AMP is described as a steroid-based performance-enhancing substance that increases movement speed by 35% and jump height by 2 meters for 2 minutes.
The user’s trick, however, is that he has created an infinite supply of the item by investing a skill point in the “Botany” skill and building an outpost on the planet Jemison (New Atlanits) in the “Alpha Centauri” system.
On Jemison he now farms the resources argon, metabolic and toxins in order to produce substances that increase running speed. He also put this on a hotkey so that he could reactivate it every 2 minutes in the flow of the game.
What does the Botany skill do? The skill “Botany” can be found on the second level of the research skill tree and can be learned after you have invested at least 4 skill points in the research category.
The botany skill means you can cultivate some plants in your outpost. You also gain more organic resources from plants that are common or rare and also get more information about said plants when you analyze them with your scanner.
