Grid congestion or the overcrowded power grid: it is causing more and more problems. It is actually a traffic jam on the power grid. It occurs when full capacity is reached. The demand for electricity is then greater than the grid operators can supply. The transport capacity is too late.
The fact that it is now under so much pressure is partly due to renewable energy, such as wind and solar parks and the rise of electric transport.
