Marvel Comics is returning to Star Wars’ past for two new series. Mace Windu and Jango Fett series announced.
Star Wars, fan-favorite characters Jedi Master Mace Windu And bounty hunter Jango FettIt returns to the prequel trilogy era with two series focusing on . These new mini-series, which will be published by Marvel, were announced at the Lucasfilm panel at New York Comic Con, including comics for all ages starring Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn published by Dark Horse Comics, and Marvel’s Star Wars: The High. Republic’s III. It was announced alongside other upcoming titles, including its entry into phase 1. Star Wars Announces Mace Windu and Jango Fett Series
Mark Bernardin is writing the Mace Windu mini-series, which will begin in January. The panel showed Mateus Manhanini’s cover of Star Wars: Mace Windu #1, but there was no mention of who drew the series. This is Marvel’s second Mace Windu miniseries, following the series launched in 2017 by writer Matthew Owens and artist Denys Cowan with the subtitle “Jedi of the Republic.”

The Jango Fett series is the next Star Wars project from writer Ethan Sacks, who wrote the soon-to-be-concluded Star Wars: Bounty Hunters series. The new Jango Fett miniseries will air in March. Again, no one named the series’ internal artist, but Leinil Francis Yu’s Star Wars: Jango Fett #1 cover was shown.
Zahn will reunite with Jody Houser, who previously adapted Zahn’s 2017 novel Thrawn, in Marvel’s adaptation of Thrawn: Alliances. The adaptation’s artist was not named at the panel (Luke Ross penned Marvel’s previous Thrawn adaptation), but Rod Reis created the first issue’s cover.
