Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2023

There will be another Halloween event in GW2 in 2023. In this guide, we’ll tell you what activities there are, how you can complete the achievements and what rewards await you for Halloween.

When does Halloween 2023 start and end? The event started on Tuesday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m. Halloween ends again on November 7th.

What’s new in 2023? The Mad King’s Clock Tower got an update this year and got a version without time pressure. This is aimed at players who are not very experienced, but some achievements cannot be completed there.

There are also special tasks in the new Wizard’s Vault as well as new improvised paper bag helmets and other skins, which you can see in this image. There is also a new mini pet included. We will update the guide accordingly on Wednesday, October 18th.

On the right you can see, among other things, the new helmet skin.

Updates from last year

What’s new in 2022? In 2022, only new, cosmetic rewards were introduced in GW2:

  • The meta-achievement “Halloween Rituals” has a new reward, the “Clawing Shadow” Gloves.
  • The Chained Weapon Set is now available as a new reward for the Halloween Rituals (Annual) meta-achievement.
  • There are three new trick-or-treat bag weapons that can also be purchased from the “Funkenstein” merchant in Lion’s Arch.
  • There are two new miniatures available from Candy Corn vendors.
  • There are four new guild decorations.
  • All activities during the Halloween event 2023

What activities are there for Halloween? The big special feature of Halloween is the Mad King’s Labyrinth. You can enter the event area via a portal in Löwenstein and a variety of events and achievements await you there.

The focus is on the door events and the four bosses in the area, which are farmed almost constantly in large groups. Because through these events and the trick-or-treat bags they contain, you can earn a lot of gold, ideally as a thief with a short bow. We reveal exactly how this works here:

    Other Halloween activities include:

  • The Mad King’s Clock Tower – a special and nerve-wracking jumping puzzle.
  • The Rise of Madness – a mini-dungeon for 5 players in which you fight against the Mad King.
  • The Mad Inquisition – a PvP mini-game in which some players try to drag the others down into the realm of the Mad King.
  • The Soul Reaper’s Grudge – a PvP mini-game in the style of a MOBA.
  • The Mad King Says – a mini-game in Lion’s Arch in the style of Simon Says that always takes place on the full, even hour.
  • Various mount races.
  • Door events and carving pumpkins in the open world.
