Teuvo Teräväinen is on a three-match scoring streak. Joonas Korpisalo saved the win against Tampa Bay.
Carolina Teuvo Teräväinen has started the season in high spirits. The Finn managed to finish again, when the Hurricanes lost to the Anaheim Ducks with goals 3–6.
Teräväinen scored twice and increased his number of goals for the season to four. The Finnish striker already stretched his scoring streak to three games, which means he has finished in every game of Carolina’s early season.
However, the star of the match was Anaheim Frank Vatrano, who opened his goal account for the season handsomely with a hat trick. He finished his third hit into an empty net.
Saved by Carolina’s goal Antti Raanta stretched into the path of the puck 19 times.
Teräväinen certainly likes the goals, because last season was more moderate compared to the previous ones. The Finn used to produce points at a rate of almost a point per game, but last season he “left” in 68 matches with 12+25=37.
Korpisalo as the last lock
In the second match of the NHL night, the Ottawa Senators Joonas Korpisalo made the save in a win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Korpisalo made 22 shots as Senator won the match 5–2.
The Ottawa star was Brady Tkachuk, who scored 2+1. Like Tkachuk, Korpisalo got an assist in the final moments of the match Tim Stützlen to the finish line.
