The match was the Australian Kerr’s first start this season.
The 30-year-old striker is admittedly good with his head despite his relatively modest height and was perfectly placed on the cross from Niamh Charles.
Zecira Musovic also played from the start and kept a clean sheet in the Chelsea goal without having to exert too much.
Chelsea won the match 2-0 and currently tops the young table in the English Women’s Super League after three rounds, although with one match more played than several of the other teams.
The reigning champions have started the season with two wins and a draw (1-1 against Manchester City).
