Clown in Skelmorlie in Scotland resembles Pennywise from Det

Two years ago, the residents of Skelmorlie, Scotland noticed that a clown was roaming the streets at night – and that red balloons appeared in various places.
Now the clown has published a video on Facebook – where, among other things, he urges the police to chase him.
– Shall I smile for the cameras with my horrible grin? he says.

Two years ago, the residents of Skelmorlie outside Glasgow in Scotland started talking about a scary clown that was seen on the streets of the village. Red balloons are said to have also been left in various places in the town, which consists of just over 2,000 inhabitants.

On social media, videos and pictures of the clown have been published and then deleted, writes Sky News.

The British channel now draws attention to the fact that the clown has published his own video on Facebook. On an account under the name “Cole Deimos”, the man in the clown costume has published a video targeting the media and the local police.

“Should I smile for the cameras with my horrible grin?”

The clown, who has drawn inspiration from the character “Pennywise” in the famous film “It”, which is based on the popular horror novel by the author Stephen King, talks about, among other things, that he “certainly ended up on the news again”.

– Shall I smile for the cameras with my horrible grin? says a manipulated male voice to the video.

The video refers several times to previous articles that allegedly deal with how the clown “strikes terror” in the village and makes the residents “terrified”.

Sky News has spoken to the police in Skelmorlie who state that they have not received any reports or alarms involving the man in the clown suit.

Urges the police: “Catch me”

In the film, the clown says that he challenges the police to try to arrest him.

– They have to catch me first, he says.

How scared the residents really are is not clear from either the video or the Sky News reporting. With a little more than two weeks until Halloween, several of the people in the comment section take the video in stride.

“Love it! Good work!” writes a Facebook user.

“This is cruel!” writes another.
