Norlander, who was in special play last week, is currently second overall at -11 after walking 64 strokes.
“At the start of the lap yesterday, there wasn’t much energy after last week, but the game feels good and I like this track, so it’s just a matter of driving,” he says in Discovery’s broadcast.
The Swede finished in style with an eagle on the last hole and is one stroke behind leader Cameron Champ (USA). Three behind is Alex Norén after a 65 round.
Both Swedes are chasing their first title on the US tour.
However, it doesn’t look like there will be further games for the American Lexi Thompson. The 28-year-old fought his way back to par after starting the round at +2. However, it does not seem to be enough to pass the qualifying limit, which is currently at -1.
Thompson became the seventh woman in history to play on the PGA Tour. In the past, among others, Annika Sörenstam has done the same thing. Since 1945, no one has passed the qualification limit.
