Two shot in villa – children were in the home

Two people have been shot indoors in a villa in Tullinge south of Stockholm.
Three children were in the home at the time.
– I do not intend to go into the injury situation for these two people, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.

The police are investigating whether the shooting in Tullinge can be connected to previous crimes in the wave of violence that has hit Stockholm and Uppsala recently.

– We are treating it as part of this gross violence we have seen, even if it is too early to state with certainty that it is so.

Two adults have been injured, but at 6.30 on Friday morning the police cannot say anything about the extent of the damage or what relationship they have to the children who were in the house.

Several children in the home

The children who were in the home at the time are said to have managed without physical injuries.

– Of course we have made sure to get them out of there, they are now taken care of elsewhere.

Police are not commenting on whether anyone has been arrested in the case.

Comprehensive effort

On the night of Thursday, a shooter entered a family’s villa in Västberga, in southern Stockholm, and opened fire.

The father was shot dead. The mother of the family and a child of preschool age were shot, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Additional children were in the residence and witnessed the murder and attempted murder but were not physically harmed, according to the same information.

The victims are not themselves criminals but the act is believed to be connected to the phalanx war in Foxtrot.

The alarm about the shooting in Tullinge came at 01:25 on the night of Friday. The police have an extensive operation in the area and have cordoned off the crime scene.
