In Counter-Strike 2, the correct crosshair plays an important role. We’ll show you how to set your crosshairs and which ones the professionals use.
Shooters like Counter-Strike and Valorant are primarily characterized by hip firing, i.e. without looking through a sight. So that you can still hit your opponents, your crosshairs are very important.
Counter-Strike 2 offers you a number of different setting options so that you can customize and optimize your crosshairs.
A properly adjusted crosshair can help you hit your opponents better in gunfights and land your shots more precisely. We will therefore show you how to set your crosshair in CS2 and which crosshair variants high-elo players and professionals use.
CS2 Crosshair – How to change the crosshair in the settings
How do you change your crosshairs? To change your crosshairs, you have to go to the CS2 settings. There you navigate to the “Game” area and then click on the “Crosshair” tab.
Once you have arrived in the crosshair area in the settings, you can now make various settings. In addition to the style, the friendly fire warning and the new “follow recoil” feature, you can make individual adjustments to your Crosshair.
Here you can, for example, change the color if you would rather have a striking pink or green instead of a white crosshair. You can also specify the length and thickness of the lines and whether your crosshair should have a dot in the middle.
Here you can see an overview of the different setting options:
CS2 Crosshair – The professionals play with these crosshairs
How do you use a professional’s crosshairs? When you are in the crosshair settings, you will see an image of your current crosshair at the top. At the bottom of the image you will see the “Share or import” option. If you click on it here, you can insert the crosshairs of another player, for example a professional.
To do this, copy the crosshair code into the intermediate layer in advance. You do this by simply marking the code in question with the mouse and then pressing “Ctrl + C”. Then in CS2, click on the line of text that opened when you clicked “Share or import” and insert the crosshair code you selected using the key combination “Ctrl + V”.
What are these crosshairs? Here we show you the crosshairs of 5 (former) professionals so that you have an idea of what the crosshair of a high Elo player looks like.
If you don’t want to use a professional’s crosshair, you can of course make your own or adapt the finished professional’s crosshair to your taste.
However, when creating the crosshairs, you should make sure that the finished work of art does not distract you or obscure too large an area of the enemy. You don’t want to unexpectedly miss your opponent because the crosshairs covered their head. The following often applies: subtle is better.
If you still want to tweak your mouse sensitivity after using your crosshairs, we have a guide here that will show you how to find the perfect sensitivity:
