For lovers of Do It Yourself four days of immersive and experiential workshops, materials and tools for any handmade project are coming, with over 350 exhibiting brands from Italy, but also from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Turkey, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Hungary.
In Abilmente autumn is tinged with universal creative atmospheres. Among standsyou can admire the “Spettacolore” textile art exhibition by Swiss artists Ramona Conconi And Michelle Samter, who have exhibited their patchworks in Europe and the United States and became friends at a course on the art of quilting. Also at the fair is the exhibition “Minimalism” of the international non-profit organization Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), based in Hebron, Kentucky, which has been working to promote artistic patchwork for 30 years, with an active community of over 4,000 members worldwide. Also present was Montse Forcadell, a creative Spanish quilting expert who organizes courses throughout Spain.
The journey to discover creative techniques at Abilmente continues among exhibitors from northern, central and southern Italy. In addition to the 110 exhibitors from Veneto, including associations of quiltingexperts in sartorial fashion, crafters and companies, in the Vicenza exhibition center you can discover the embroideries of the Sicilian tradition of Flaminia Alagnathe lace from Abruzzo by the Le Arti Antiche association, the wooden artefacts from Trentino and the artisanal weaving from Lecce, the mosaic crochet made in Milan by Il Filo Tell and the Como bobbin by Patrizia Arditi.
