Meta’s newest social media application, Threads, may soon gain a new feature. Moreover, this feature may seem a little familiar to X users.
HERE IS THAT FEATURE!
Allegedly, Threads will soon receive support for the Trending Topics feature.
App developer William Max noticed the new “Trending Topics” feature. William Max shared the following post on the subject in Threads:
SHARED BY ACCIDENT!
After this post, Max said that he followed many engineers and employees working at Meta and one of them accidentally shared a screenshot that was supposed to be private.
He did not disclose who shared the screenshot.
In the screenshot, it was seen that the trending topics were placed in a numerical order under the search bar, and the number of posts in each topic was also shown.
USERS WANTED
Since the launch of Threads, users have been requesting a Trending Topics feature. However, some statements by Instagram President Adam Mosseri led many users to conclude that Threads may never bring the trending topics feature, which is widely used on Twitter for breaking news and politics.
Meta has not yet made an official statement about the future of this feature, but if the claims are true, the trend topics feature will be added to Threads soon and users will have the feature they want.
