As the conflicts between Israel and Hamas enter their third day, demonstrations in support of Israel continue to be held in many countries. A demonstration of support for Israel was organized in Paris, the capital of France, by the Council of Representatives of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF). Demonstrators gathered around the Copernic Synagogue in Victor Hugo Square in the capital and walked to Trocadero Square with Israeli flags and banners in their hands.
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni, National Assembly Speaker Yael Braun-Pivet, Government Spokesperson Olivier Veran and French Minister of Transformation and Public Service Stanislas Guerini also attended the march, where very strict security measures were taken.
After the march, as the weather darkened, the silhouette of the Israeli flag was projected onto the world-famous Eiffel Tower to give a message of solidarity with Israel.
