A true sequel, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 seems to borrow from the school of Jedi: Survivor and God of War: Ragnarok, taking the already great foundation of its predecessor and building on it with a host of new mechanics and features. With an even larger open-world map and some brand new superhero abilities, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 brings a lot to the table, most of which fans haven’t seen before.
The major new features in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are as follows:
- Both Miles and Peter will be playable, and players will be able to instantly switch between them while free roaming.
- Web wings have been added for improved traversal and both characters will be able to parry attacks.
- Over 65 outfits will be available, including the Symbiote outfit, which gives Peter unique tendril attacks and abilities. Peter’s suit will also have Iron Spider legs by default.
- It will feature an expanded open-world version of New York City and include more destructible environments.
- A new story with Venom and Kraven as the main villains.
- 30 FPS, 40 FPS and 60 FPS mode. They all have ray tracing and VRR support.
- Improved DualSense functionality, including Symbiote’s sensitivity to sound captured via controller vibrations.
