A man in his 30s is convicted of a stabbing in Gothenburg this summer. The victim was stabbed twice in the back, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
At the beginning of July, the man had arranged a meeting with a 35-year-old man. It quickly became rowdy at the site.
The man who has now been sentenced took out a knife which he swung at the other, who started to run away. The victim was stabbed twice before taking cover in a cafe. The injuries were not life-threatening.
– Apart from a few ugly scars, he managed fairly well, but as I said, it’s more luck than skill, said prosecutor Bengt-Olof Berggren before the trial.
The man is sentenced to two years in prison for serious assault.
