Spokesperson of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Taliban interim government reported that the death toll in the earthquakes in Herat province of Afghanistan has exceeded 2000.
Mevlevi Musa Ashari, Herat Provincial Director of the Ministry of State Responsible for Natural Disasters, had noted to the AA correspondent that there were still people under the rubble after the earthquakes and that search and rescue efforts were continuing.
Molla Canan Saik, Spokesperson of the Ministry of State Responsible for Natural Disasters of the Taliban interim government, stated that 7 villages in the Zindecan district of Herat were heavily damaged by the earthquakes and the number of casualties increased.
