The 12-year-old DJ lives in a typical suburb. The street is full of front gardens and families with children. But one house and front yard stands out: Nebbercracker’s property is dark and mysterious. Everything that lands in the front yard seems to mysteriously disappear.
One day, DJ and his friend Chowder are playing basketball, and through an incident they find out that the house is a living monster that eats everything that lands on the property.
This film is close to scary, but always wraps it in a funny atmosphere and essentially deals with themes such as loss, grief and letting go.

The Hotel Transylvania is a hotel in the town of the same name, but instead of being inhabited by normal people, the town is a refuge for all sorts of monsters who want to take a vacation. The employees also consist of classic monsters such as Frankenstein, the mummy or Dracula, who built the place to protect his daughter.
But Dracula’s daughter now has a human friend, and Dracula tries everything to get rid of him.
The film mainly relies on slapstick humor with the various monsters and tells a story about acceptance and family and should actually have something for all ages.
