The Blue Beetle team was at least pleased about the generous reviews. The review mirror Meta Critic gave the film a score of 61. Over half of the reviews were positive. Xolo Maridueña’s performance as the lead actor and the emotional story, which revolves around a Latin American family, were particularly praised.
