What is the Eligella Cup? The Eligella Cup is a Twitch tournament now entering its fourth season. The organizer is one of Germany’s most famous streamers EliasN97 (real name: Elias Nerlich). In the competitions, a diverse field of participants made up of football professionals, content creators and/or e-athletes compete against each other.
The weekly cup is very popular in the FIFA community. So that you don’t miss anything, we present you the most important information about the tournament mode and the next dates with starting times in our overview.

The Eligella Cup has always been the same since its inception in FIFA 21. The first cup played this year suggests that nothing will change in the tournament format.

How does the Eligella Cup work? Like a World or European Football Championship, the Eligella Cup consists of a preliminary round and a knockout phase. The game is played in Ultimate Team mode.
The participants are usually divided into groups by lottery one day before the start of the tournament. You can then see the results of the draw on the official Instagram account.
The individual games will be streamed on Twitch after the tournament starts. You have the option of watching individual games or just having the highlights of the respective matches commented on in a kind of conference on EliasN97’s Twitch channel.
After the qualifiers have been determined from the group in the free-for-all mode in the group phase, the games in the knockout phase follow a previously created tournament tree. Depending on the duration of the tournament, first the finalists and finally the winner are determined in the home and away games.

When is the next Eligella Cup? The cups traditionally take place every Monday evening at prime time. The next two dates have already been set.

Unfortunately, nothing is known about the exact field of participants in the respective tournaments. At the Creator Koop Cup, participants from the German streaming area can be expected, whereas international guests will also take part in the professional tournament.

What time does the tournament start? The tournament is scheduled every Monday evening for 8:30 p.m. But it is assumed that the start will take place around 9 p.m. Beforehand there is usually a bit of chatting in the lobby.
Technical disruptions, such as connection difficulties or problems with the live streams, also occur and occasionally lead to delays.
If you want to watch the entire Eligella Cup, you’ll have to be patient because the tournament usually lasts until after midnight.
