The meeting between Russia and North Korea at the Vostonchniy Cosmodrome in Russia’s Amur region and the subsequent arms agreement signed raised Western states to their feet. After the agreement, poisonous statements were made by the USA and South Korea.
According to allegations published today in the American broadcaster CBS News, it was claimed that the signed arms agreement was activated and Pyongyang started sending weapons to Moscow.
IT IS STILL UNKNOWN WHAT NORTH KOREA GETS FROM THE DEAL
The news claimed that it was not clear what North Korea received from Russia in exchange for the weapons it allegedly started sending, or whether the shipment in question was “part of a long-term supply chain or a more limited shipment.”
WHAT HAPPENED?
Kim met with Putin on September 13 at the Vostonchniy Cosmodrome in Russia’s Amur region.
Describing the negotiations with Kim as “productive”, Putin stated that they exchanged views on the situation in the region and bilateral relations.
The USA, South Korea and Japan reacted to Kim and Putin discussing “weapons supply and military cooperation” issues during their meeting. (AA)
