After the success of the first game, expectations from Thief Simulator 2 had increased considerably. Considering that simulation games are generally based on similar foundations, in this game we try to gradually move our career to the top, starting from the bottom. However, this time, an entertaining theft experience awaits us. In the game, we need to infiltrate houses and garages, steal items, hack alarm systems and become a top-level thief with many different skills.
The story part of the game is quite comprehensive. Our main character, who is indebted to a powerful criminal organization, commits a series of robberies to pay off this debt. We follow the tasks given for this. Sometimes these can also be tail tasks. For example, in order to rob a house, we first need to do research on it. We need to carry out the research via drone in order not to expose ourselves. In this case, we first steal a drone from somewhere, and then we can raid the house with the information we obtain (for example, what time the homeowner goes to work or determining the most suitable point for entry).

The story part is a bit dull compared to the overall game. Situations where we need to unlock certain abilities to complete the main story can sometimes bore the player. I had a hard time, especially at the beginning of the game, because I couldn’t properly understand what I was supposed to do. In fact, when I had to quit the game in some missions, I forgot the house number in the given mission. When I re-entered, I was stuck in the middle of nowhere because I didn’t know which house I should enter. I felt like I had to go back to the beginning again.

Thief Simulator 2 offers players two main game modes: Story Mode and Free Mode.
1. Story Mode:
Story Mode covers a series of special scenarios that require the player to complete a series of missions by following the story. In the game, you take on the role of a thief who owes half a million dollars to a powerful criminal organization. To pay off this debt, you have to commit robberies, plant fake evidence, and other illegal activities, following orders given by the mafia.

With this in mind, you can progress through the in-game progression tree and gain new skills and tools. Free Mode offers the player the opportunity to move freely and engage in various theft activities without any specific story restrictions. In this mode, you can set your own strategies, choose the house or settlement you want and plan the robberies on your own.
Free mode offers the player the opportunity to learn the mechanics of the game, try new strategies and have a fun time. In this way, you can get away from the pressure of the story mode and enjoy the game in a more relaxed atmosphere. However, this mode can get boring after a while.

NPCs’ reactions can sometimes be unrealistic. While NPCs sometimes do not react at all, sometimes they can trigger the alarm even while passing a house. It is quite easy to escape from the police. I was able to escape easily by running through the side roads without even having a vehicle. Even if the police are following you, you can easily escape by hiding in a trash can or taking shelter in a shop.
Sounds and Graphics
During the game, you can listen to constantly repeating music from several different radios that play when you get in your car. Due to the small size of the map, you do not stay in the vehicle for too long. Thief FM channel became my favorite. Sometimes the DJ’s jokes can be entertaining. For this reason, it is not boring.

Graphically, it was a very satisfying production for an independent game. I did not experience any FPS drops even at the highest settings. Okay, you will say, how big is the map to make it difficult? However, there are so many games with poor optimization that I was happy to play this game extremely smoothly.
As a result, when you add Turkish language support to everything I have said, it is a production that you can enjoy. Thief Simulator 2 offers an entertaining experience for those interested in simulation games. However, graphical deficiencies and some challenging elements in the story mode slightly reduce the overall score of the game.
