A new biathlon season awaits for Stina Nilsson.
Her fourth such in her career and she has revenge to claim.
But now she surprises most with the most unexpected outburst – against SVT(!).
Most people know by now how tough last year’s season was Stina Nilsson. Most things went wrong and she got it wrong right from the start and never really managed to save the difficult winter.
Stina’s adversity
The third season as a biathlete was her most difficult so far and the disappointment was great considering the expectations that were placed on her. The 30-year-old had to struggle with both skiing and shooting and ended up far down the results list during the World Cup weekends.

In the end, Stina was kicked out of the World Cup and had to start over in the IBU Cup instead. She also did not get a place when the national team squad for the Biathlon World Cup was selected.
Nilsson’s play
Now Nilsson just wants to put last year’s season behind her and take big revenge in the coming winter, which will be her fourth season as a biathlete. The goal is to have a much better pre-season in order to get a better start to the season where both skiing and shooting will improve.

But ahead of the new season, attention is now being drawn to an unexpected outburst against SVT from Stina Nilsson. It is in the TV program “Bäst när det gäster” that the Swede expresses strong feelings towards the TV channel during a competition, see the video below.
– I can hear the SVT broadcast, they are far too close. I hear there will be a barrier, it’s almost a bit of cheating to hear where the barriers are, she says in the finish line to the national team coach Jean-Marc Chabloz.
– There is nothing to blame, but I became damn passive.
