The microblog X, formerly Twitter, is testing new video functions such as streaming games and online shopping, writes Engadget. It should be part of owner Elon Musk’s plan to turn the app into an “everything app”. On Sunday, Musk demonstrated the streaming feature by broadcasting the game Diablo IV on the platform.
Streaming should be available to X Premium subscribers. Currently, it is unclear how seriously X takes the gaming segment and streaming. Twitter also wants to test live shopping features.
These are to be tested in collaboration with Paris Hilton. According to Variety, she will help create four original video content per year that includes live shopping features.
