Voting could weaken US president | SVT News

Republican Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the United States Congress, is attacked by Trump supporters in his own party. Congressman Matt Gaetz is demanding that Congress vote to impeach McCarthy.

Such a vote hasn’t happened since 1910, according to Politico.

The likelihood of McCarthy being voted out is slim. At least 218 votes are required, but Gaetz and his supporters are believed to have only a handful of votes. However, McCarthy’s position may be weakened.

Democrats are not expected to vote to impeach McCarthy.
