In December, director Zack Snyder will launch the next big one with his Rebel Moon saga Science fiction franchise Netflix. Two films have already been shot, namely Rebel Moon Part 1: Child of Fire and Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scar Maker. There will be more to come after that, including a role-playing game.

As it turns out, however, the plug was pulled on this role-playing game in May, even though it was almost finished. Netflix ended its collaboration with Evil Genius Games due to a breach of confidentiality. Now the game manufacturer is making serious allegations against the streaming service and is filing a lawsuit.

As the Hollywood Reporter reports, Netflix hired Evil Genius Games earlier this year to develop a tabletop role-playing game that expands the world of Rebel Moon. One was created for the game 228-page World Bible created that includes the entire Rebel Moon mythology. Then the project was discontinued.

Netflix accused Evil Genius Games in May of violating a confidentiality clause in its contract because the manufacturer presented content from the film and at an industry trade fair unauthorized concept images has shown. Evil Genius Games counters that they had previously agreed on a release.

Netflix now owns the rights to the entire Rebel Moon brand and especially to the World Bible, which is very valuable to the franchise. The main complaint in the lawsuit filed by Evil Genius Games against Netflix is ​​that the streaming service just looking for an excuse to steal the ideas and concepts developed.
