At 06.28 something detonated in a townhouse area in Hässelby villastad in western Stockholm. The entire house was quickly engulfed in flames and the fire has spread to adjacent terraced houses.
– The house in question is completely destroyed, there is only rubble left of it. The surrounding houses are still burning. There is a fire in the roof of the homes, says Daniel Wikdahl of the Stockholm Police.
No one should be injured. According to the police, about ten homes have been evacuated.
According to information to SVT Nyheter, the address in Hässelby can be linked to two of the three people who were detained after the shooting in Jordbro last Thursday, where a 23-year-old man was shot dead and another was injured.
One of the murder suspects is a 22-year-old man who is also designated as a Nazi. He has been convicted of several crimes, including drug crimes and incitement against ethnic groups in 2019, after wearing Nazi symbols in connection with a demonstration organized by the Nazi group Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR).
Two hours before the explosion in Hässelby, something is said to have detonated in a townhouse area in Fullersta in Huddinge south of Stockholm. A door has been blown away at an address, and according to the police, several people were inside the house at the time of the incident.
