The investigation report regarding the fire that broke out in a wedding hall in Mosul’s Hamdaniye district on the evening of September 26 was shared with the public.
“THE REAL REASON OF THE FIRE…”
At the press conference held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baghdad, General Saad Falih, Chairman of the Investigation Commission, said, “The wedding hall in Hamdaniye was covered with a lot of flammable materials, and the fire was caused by this. The pieces of fabric that caused the fire to spread rapidly in the hall were also effective in the fire. “The ceiling also caused the fire to spread rapidly. One of the main causes of the fire in the wedding hall was fireworks.” said.
THE DEATH NUMBER HAS INCREASED
Noting that the number of people who lost their lives in the wedding hall fire in Mosul increased to 107, Falih stated that the fire was not intentional but was caused by negligence and fault on the part of the wedding hall owner.
THEY WERE DISMISSED
Speaking at the press conference, Minister of Internal Affairs Abdulemir Shammari stated that those who died in the fire were considered “martyrs”.
Shammari also stated that Hamdaniye District Governor Isam Behnam Metti, Hamdaniye Mayor Rami Hıdır and relevant officials in the Hamdaniye civil defense institution have been dismissed and will be referred to the court.
