3 things you should do before Season 2 starts

Blizzard has already announced the next season 2 for Diablo 4. You still have a few days to do everything you want to do in Season 1. MeinMMO gives you tips on what else you should do while there is time.

When does Season 1 end? You still have until Tuesday, October 17th for Season 1 and the first Battle Pass. A specific time is still pending, but the maintenance work could take several hours,

When does Season 2 start? Season 2 starts on the same day, October 17th. The season theme this time is blood and vampires. You can find all the information about Season 2 of Diablo 4 in our overview.

What happens to my season character? All season characters from Season 1 become eternal characters. The chests, gold and materials are combined. Season content will also be carried over to the Eternal Realms.

If you want to play Season 2, you have to start a new character again. Old characters will then only work on the Eternal Realm.

1. Get all the cosmetics you still want

The Diablo 4 Season Pass has some cosmetic content that you can currently only get in the season. If looks are important to you and you like the style of the Battle Pass, you should grind until October 17th for:

Free path:

  • the class-agnostic craftsman set
  • some weapon skins
  • the title “Unspeakable Fiend”/“Unspeakable Fiend”
  • Paid path:

  • Class-specific weapon and armor skins
  • the title “Lurking Survivor”/“Lurking Survivor”
  • various emotes and the “Overwhelmed Hero” tombstone
  • the Awakened Cold Iron Harness at level 100 of the pass
  • For purchasing the Battle Pass alone, you will also receive the Cold Iron Horse Harness (the non-awakened version) without having to do anything else. The paid path also includes some platinum, but not enough to purchase the new pass.

Caution! When purchasing, be careful not to accidentally use your level jumps. Players complained about this early on.

    2. Clean out your boxes

Since all of your characters will end up on the Eternal Realm after Season 1, all boxes and inventories will also come together. This means: if you are already having problems managing space, it will be even more difficult after Season 1.

If you want to avoid items constantly ending up in the mail or even disappearing because you forget to pick them up and don’t have room for weeks, you should definitely clear out the boxes on both realms. A few tips for tidying up:

  • Think about which class or build you don’t play anyway and get rid of the corresponding gear
  • Throw away any gems that aren’t the highest or second highest rank – you really don’t need them
  • don’t keep aspects that aren’t rolled very well or are very rare and important for certain builds
  • create “pack mule” characters who can easily load their inventory when you can’t part with items. Tip: Name them accordingly so you can find them quickly
  • Here on MeinMMO you will also find a few tips on items that you can always sell without hesitation.

    3. Prepare your next character

If you want to play Season 2, you will have to start a new character again. However, this does not start “completely at 0”, but can take some content with you that you can already prepare now.

To ensure a quick and smooth start, you should:

Of course, this only applies to players who want to get started with the new season content as quickly as possible. If you enjoy the exploration and the campaign, then take your time, no one rushes you.

Although Season 1 has received some criticism, even on Reddit, which is otherwise quite negative, many players agree that they want to give Season 2 a try. However, an improvement that many would like concerns the most important items in the game:
