A 21-year-old Brantford man has been charged after allegedly threatening and hitting a victim with a replica handgun in an early-morning downtown incident.

On Sept. 21 at about 2:45 am, Brantford police officers were called to Market and Dalhousie streets.
Police say they found a replica firearm during a search for the suspect.
The victim wasn’t injured.
The accused is charged with possession of weapons for dangerous purposes; assault with weapon; imitation firearm – used while committing offense; and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Man stole from store, threatened employee: police
A man, who allegedly stole from the same business twice in one day and threatened to kill an employee, is facing charges.

Police responded to a call about a theft in progress at a Stanley Street business on Sept. 23 at about 9 pm
A witness said they saw the accused take merchandise and leave the store without paying. The accused ran from officers. Police say officers later found several other items in the accused’s possession believed to be from the same business.
A 23-year-old Brantford man is charged with theft under $5,000; possession of stolen property; utter threats to cause death or bodily harm; and breach of probation.
New driver facing charges after hitting light post
A 28-year-old without a full license and driving a vehicle without license plates, is facing several charges.
Brantford Police received a 911 call on Sept. 27 at about 1:15 am about a single-vehicle collision in the area of Hill Street and Icomm Drive.

The driver was reportedly speeding and hit a light post.
Samples of his breath indicated he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, say police.

Brantford police lay several impaired driving charges
Brantford police laid impaired driving charges in several recent incidents.
On Sept. 24 at about 10:45 pm, police saw a speeding driver on King George Road near Queensway Drive.
The driver didn’t immediately stop for police who said they saw alcohol in the vehicle.

Police say drug paraphernalia was in clear view inside the vehicle.
A 48-year-old Brantford man is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
On Sept. 22 at about 8:30 pm, police got a call from a concerned citizen reporting a possible impaired driver in the area of Wilmot Road and Gillespie Drive.

A 41-year-old Brantford man is charged with operating while impaired and dangerous operation.
Also on Sept. 22, at about 2 am, police were on patrol near Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Elgin Street when they saw someone driving erratically.
Again, breath samples showed the driver had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
A 24-year-old Brantford man is charged with operating while impaired; and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
Two men charged with break and enter
Two men are facing charges in separate break and enter incidents in Brantford.
Police were called to a break-in in progress on Sept. 28 at about 8:30 am
A 45-year-old Brantford man has been charged after police say they caught him trying to get away through a window at a Brant Avenue home.
In an earlier incident, police were called to a break and enter at a Market Street South building on Sept. 22 at about 1:30 am
Police say they found a man inside the building.
A 37-year-old Brantford man is charged with break and enter with intent to commit unspeakable offense; and probation order non-compliance.
