Norwegian Johannes Hösflot Kläbo may miss the World Cup.
Competitor William Poromaa regrets that.
– Without him it won’t be the same, says the Swede.
Johannes Hösflot Kläbo won the overall World Cup last year. In the coming season, he may not even participate in the World Cup. The Norwegian does not yet have a rider agreement with the Norwegian federation, and he is then not allowed to compete for Norway.
Karlsson about Kläbo
The background is that Kläbo does not believe that the Norwegian Skiing Association treats its athletes and employees in a good way, he thinks the association makes short-term decisions without the skiers in mind, and has bad values.

– I really wanted to solve that problem. We all want to compete and that’s what you live this life for. I would probably really try to come up with a solution, she says at a press conference.

Poromaa’s hope
Kläbo’s competitor William Poromaa is not very knowledgeable and finds it difficult to say much about the situation, but sympathizes with the Norwegian.
– It’s a hard question. You have no insight into what is said, and what is and is not in the contract. So it’s very difficult to express yourself. What you can rely on is the feeling of not having a written agreement and not knowing. It’s not something that feels fun and it’s not the way it should be. So it feels boring, of course, he says.

Poromaa hopes to see Kläbo on the starting line at the premiere in November.
– That goes without saying. After all, he has shown that he is the best skier, maybe even of all time. Without him it won’t be the same, and we want the best riders at the start. It would of course have been an incredible loss.
