Spotlight Hour on October 3rd

Which Pokémon is the focus? During October’s first Spotlight Hour, you can meet the Water and Psychic-type Pokémon Flegmon. It comes from the first generation and has two different developments: Lahmus and Laschoking. Lahmus also has a temporary mega evolution.

Flegmon also has a Galar form, which will not be found during the short event.

Which bonuses are active? In addition to numerous Flegmon spawns, you can expect double candies for sending Pokémon on this day. Here we recommend that you sort your monsters before the event starts using the in-game tags and filters so that all you have to do is send them out during the spotlight hour.

Is the event worth it? Flegmon and its further developments are not particularly strong and cannot really convince in raids or in the GO battle league. The most interesting thing here is the mega evolution of Lahmus, which strengthens your psychic and water attacks in battle and, when active, gives you more candies when you catch these types.

If you also want to clean out your Pokémon storage, you should do so on this day and take advantage of the candy bonus.

Can you catch Shiny Flegmon? Yes, Flegmon can be caught as Shiny with a bit of luck. You can recognize it by a slightly lighter body.

Spotlight Hour on October 10th

Which Pokémon is the focus? The plant-based Pokémon Knilz will then make the game unsafe during the spotlight hour on October 10th. It comes from the 3rd generation of games and can be further developed into Kappilz.

Which bonuses are active? Knilz also spawns everywhere in the wild in the short event. It also gives you an XP bonus. If you develop monsters during the event, you will receive double experience points.

Is the event worth it? Yes, Knilz isn’t particularly strong himself, but he has a strong development with Kappilz. The grass-based Pokémon can score points with a high attack and good attacks, which is why it is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.

In addition, Knilz is one of the 22 monsters that give you more stardust when you catch them. This way you get 500 stardust for a normal catch. If you also use a star piece and a weather boost is active, you can even receive up to 938 stardust per catch. So if you still need stardust or are looking for a strong attacker for raids, you should take advantage of the event.

Can you catch Shiny Knilz? Yes, Shiny-Knilz is active in the game and can be caught with a bit of luck. In this form, its dots are orange.

Spotlight Hour on October 17th

Which Pokémon is the focus? On October 17th, the spooky season will ring in with Irrbis. The spirit and plant-based Pokémon comes from the 6th generation of games and can be further developed into Pumpdjinn.

Which bonuses are active? You can meet lots of Irrbis again at the event. In addition, you will receive double stardust when you catch it.

Is the event worth it? Irrbis and its further development are not particularly strong. There are significantly better attackers among both the spirit and grass-type Pokémon. The event is therefore worth it, especially because of the double stardust when you catch it.

Can you catch shiny irrbis? Yes, if you’re lucky, you might encounter an iridescent purple irrbis.

Spotlight Hour on October 24th

Which Pokémon is the focus? In the penultimate spotlight hour in October, things remain spooky with Paragoni, the counterpart to Irrbis. It also comes from the 6th generation of games, is a spirit and grass-type Pokémon and can be evolved into Trombork.

Which bonuses are active? In addition to lots of wild Paragoni spawns, you will also receive double XP for catching Pokémon during this event.

Is the event worth it? Paragoni isn’t very interesting himself. His further development Trombork can be seen in both raids and the GO combat league. According to PvPoke, this secures solid places in the Super and Hyper Leagues. Thanks to its good attack value and its moveset, it is also one of the best ghost attackers in Pokémon GO.

If you’re on the way to level 50, you shouldn’t ignore the XP bonus.

Can you catch Shiny Paragoni? No, Paragoni is not yet available as Shiny in Pokémon GO.

Spotlight Hour on October 31st

Which Pokémon is the focus? In the last spotlight hour in October you will finally meet the ghost Pokémon Makabaja from the 5th generation of games. It can be evolved into Akhenatol.

Which bonuses are active? Lots of wild Makabaja await you at this event. You can also get double candies when catching monsters.

Is the event worth it? Makabaja is particularly interesting for the GO fighting league. Akhnatol has strong defense values, which is why it can score points in the super and master leagues. If you don’t need Makabaja, you can alternatively light the wonder box or complete raids to use the candy bonus.

Can you catch Shiny Makabaja? Yes, Makabaja is active in the game as Shiny. With a bit of luck, you’ll come across a specimen with a blue body and a silver mask.
