(Finance) – “The Supervisory Body in Listed Companies”. This is the title of the new Catch-Up Course Assogestioni-National Council of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts (CNDCEC), illustrated today on the occasion of the presentation conference, at the Milan LUISS Hub. With the birth of this initiative, a particularly strategic partnership is inaugurated between the two entities, which intends to train a “new generation” of members of the Board of Statutory Auditors. A key role in corporate governance of the Italian companies present on the capital market which – as specified during the event – integrates in an increasingly organic way with a function such as that of risk management, central to the development of the companies of the future and, ultimately, of the market of capital.
The first edition of the course will therefore start from a reflection on role of the accountant. Much more than an expert accountant or auditor, functions otherwise delegated by law to external companies in listed companies, but a beacon for the owners and the Board in matters of internal control and risk management.
The five training days that make up the planthe first on November 7th, will participate, in addition to experts in the category, a pool of academics, representatives of the authorities, lawyers, managers and actors from the financial world to give a complete picture of the “mayor of the future”, ranging from the role of the Board in corporate governance, to responsibility civilians et al risk management, up to broader issues such as the relationship with the markets and the integration of sustainability factors. An approach that looks at detailed skills, as well as at the general framework to convey the complexity of the profession and at the same time the need to build a vision on the role of the accountant within the socio-economic fabric of the country.
