Ghada’s best friend died in the explosion in Uppsala

A 25-year-old woman died after a powerful explosion outside Uppsala during the night of Thursday. According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, she was not the target.

The dead woman had no connection to the gang conflict and is not said to have been a target. The bombing is instead believed to be aimed at the Foxtrot leader, Rawa Majid’s relatives, according to information to TV4 Nyheterna.

The TV4 Nyheternas reporter has met the woman’s best friend, Ghada, who tells us that she and the now-deceased woman studied and graduated together.

– It was so much fun, she was so happy that day, the best friend recalls.

She describes the best friend as an “ambitious and helpful girl”, who constantly wanted to develop.

– She really was such a nice person. She was such a kind person who helped everyone.

– I still cannot believe what has happened. I thought maybe it’s someone else, it’s not my best friend.

Previous shooting at the address

Earlier this year, the house next to the 25-year-old woman was shot. The address is linked to a relative of the “Kurdish fox” Rawa Majid, according to information to TV4 Nyheterna. The incident prompted the 25-year-old woman to discuss gang violence with Ghada, says the friend.

– We talked about the development and what solutions are available, says the best friend who wants to see an urgent solution.

Two arrested after the explosion

Early on Thursday morning, the police received an alarm about an explosion in a residential area in Fullerö by Storvreta outside Uppsala. A 25-year-old woman died in connection with the incident. Two houses were completely destroyed in the explosion, which was so powerful that three adjacent houses were also damaged.

The incident is being investigated as murder and aggravated vandalism and two people have been arrested.

– We have two people arrested, suspected of murder and gross public danger, says Thomas Bälter, senior prosecutor, to TT.
