The new SHL season has just started.
But SVT expert Håkan Loob is already annoyed.
– I’m so tired of it, the legend now admits.
We are only in the fifth round of the new SHL season and there is still so much left to play for. But even now there is a lot of chatter to talk about.
Wikegård angry
Örebro Hockey has exceeded all expectations and leads the regular season so far after an impressive eleven points in the first four games. But both Färjestad and Frölunda are in the top as well, IK Oskarshamn has had the worst start, which is in the jumbo place after only two points in four games.

In addition to the results, the large amount of game penalties has been a hot puck to discuss and that it is reinforced some on the ice to deceive the referees. The TV4 expert Niklas Wikegård has raged in the TV studio and made it clear how much he detests when players deliberately remain on the ice.

Loob irritated
The SVT expert and former major player Håkan Loob is also annoyed after the season opener, but for a completely different reason. He has had enough and wants to make a decisive change to how the SHL works today.
– I want to see more power for the situation room. I’m so tired of all the interruptions in Swedish hockey, now it has to end. The reason is that it takes far too long for every decision that is in place and we shouldn’t have that in Swedish hockey, he tells SVT Sport.

Loob also wants to help and make it easier for the referees by giving more power to the situation room to make the really tough decisions around goal situations that become so decisive for the SHL matches.
– In order to “speed up” it, there are certain situations that need to be dealt with by the situational law. Where the decision-making authority should rest with the situation room are, for example, goals with too high a stick, kick movement at the goal or if the puck is really in. All these situations even exceed the entertainment value in the end and I would also like to remove the big responsibility of the referees so that they end up in a bad light.
