Before One Piece was hailed as the best Netflix adaptation of a manga, there was Alice in Borderland. The sci-fi action series about brutal death games that several people have to face in a parallel world thrilled audiences. With season 2, Alice in Borderland became the most-watched Netflix original from Japan and climbed to the Netflix top 10 in over 90 countries. But the future of the series seemed uncertain.
Fans had to worry about the fate of the series for nine months. As the Hollywood Reporter reports, Netflix has now made a decision and Alice in Borderland renewed for season 3. However, after the end of the last season, the extension is surprising.
The Netflix hit Alice in Borderland continues with season 3 – but how?
Alice in Borderland is a live-action adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Haro Aso. However, with the conclusion of the 2nd season reaches the end of the template. Concrete information about Alice in Borderland Season 3 is currently scarce. However, the return of the two stars Kento Yamazaki (Arisu) and Tao Tsuchiya (Usagi) was confirmed. Director Shinsuke Sato, who directed all 16 episodes, also returns.
The first two seasons started in December. Netflix could therefore release Season 3 in December 2024 aim for. Since filming for the Alice in Borderland sequel hasn’t started yet, it could possibly take longer.
