A wedding in Iraq ended in disaster. It was stated that at least 113 people died and 500 people were injured in the fire at the wedding hall in Mosul’s Hamdaniye district.
THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS FIREWORKS
It was learned that there were 800 people in the wedding hall at the time of the fire, which was reported to the press as being caused by fireworks.
Iraqi news agency INA previously reported, based on a source from the Mosul Health Department, that according to initial findings, 100 people died and 150 people were injured in the fire.
MANY TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED
While many fire brigades and ambulances from surrounding provinces were dispatched to the fire area, it was announced that the Minister of Internal Affairs Abdulemir Shammari would also go to the region.
Footage of the fire breaking out while the bride and groom were dancing was also reflected on social media. The images showed people running left and right in panic.
