Before the Paris Assize Court, Rédoine Faïd continued this Tuesday, September 26, 2023 to explain his spectacular escape by helicopter from Réau prison, in July 2018. The repeat robber suggested that he had benefited from complicity within the prison administration.

During the day, the court and the attorneys general take up point by point the story that Rédoine Faïd gave the day before her “beautiful” by helicopter from the visiting rooms of Réau prison, in July 2018. “ Me who escaped from Sequudin, you put me in a prison where there are no safety lines », laughs Rédoine Faïd. Before even arriving at Réau, the repeat robber knows, thanks to other inmates, the flaw in the remand center: this main courtyard which is not protected and in which a helicopter can therefore land.
What Rédoine Faïd does not know is that in this courtyard, there is a back door which leads to the visiting room. This “ pipe », the robber obtains it from a person who also provides him with the plans of the prison. “ Someone from the prison administration ? », Asks a judge. “ I can’t tell you anything », opposes Rédoine Faïd. Same response to the president who asks him who gave him the cell phone with which he planned his escape.
“ Me, I’m bluffing »
Rédoine Faïd also remains mysterious about the identity of those who helped him escape: “ my guys » as he calls them. They have a tacit agreement. There must be no casualties. The weapons were just to scare people. “ I’m not a killer…I’m a thief, an impostor, a con artist. Me, I’m bluffing », insists Rédoine Faïd. To hear it, on the team of “ seven » counting a “ nice bro » aviation specialist, the investigators would have identified only one member of the commando: his big brother Rachid Faïd, arrested with him after three months on the run, and who admitted the facts.
In the dock, however, are another brother and three of his nephews, with little or no criminal record. They don’t have nothing to see » or just, for some, does a few “ races » during his run, maintains the accused at length.
