Police in Copenhagen extend the decision to allow visitation zones until October 9 due to escalating violence between the outlawed criminal gangs Hells Angels and Loyal to familia. The residence ban in three premises in the Copenhagen area is also extended.

The announcement, via a press release, applies to the visitation zones in Christiania, parts of Amager as well as Nørrebro and Nordvest.

– Residents in the affected areas and in other parts must be able to feel safe and secure. That’s why we continue the effort, says police chief Søren Thomassen in Copenhagen.

The conflict between the criminal groups also causes the police on Funen to close clubs belonging to the Hells Angels in Nyborg and Odense.

The visitation zones in Copenhagen were introduced at the end of August in an attempt to stop violence. Subsequently, the police searched around 650 people and found 28 stabbing weapons and eight weapons of other kinds.
