Pesakarhut is celebrating the Finnish baseball championship the match

Päsäkarhut defeated Manse PP in the super innings. The fifth final match of the Women’s Superpesis was watched by 2,880 spectators on the spot.

Pesäkarhut decided the exciting fifth final in Tampere against Manse PP with a score of 2–1 (2–0, 0–5, 2–1).

He hit the deciding run in the final in a super inning Annika Linnawhose punch sank until the middle.

The championship is the third in Pesäkarhui’s club history. It celebrated the championship last time in the fall of 2021 and before that in 2002.

Päsäkarhu’s game director Jarkko Pokela coached his team to the championship in his first and last seasons. He will move to the men’s Superpesis after this season.

– Of course, I feel better, but I’m tired.

– When I started the super shift, I already had the feeling that the season was great, go for it anyway. Glad you turned to us. Unreal feeling. I hope I don’t wake up from my nap, Pokela enthused.

With the finals, one significant baseball career ended, as the 29-year-old Emilia Eastern Light hangs his flippers on a nail. He ended his career with the Finnish championship.

– It can’t be better than this. When the finals went to the fifth game, I thought that the career would end in a pretty crazy way. But the fact that we won the Finnish championship is a dream come true, Itävalo told Urheilu.

Manse PP, who won the regular season, went to the final series as early favorites. However, it did not get a single intact match in the finals.

– This is a big disappointment. The hurt is unbelievable. The final matches were even. The regular season usually doesn’t matter when these games are played, Mansen’s game director Antti Vihtkari your inches.

The match made great sporting history, as never before has the total number of spectators for women’s finals exceeded 10,000 spectators. The match was followed by Manse’s audience record at the stadium, 2,880 spectators, which is the sixth highest ever in the women’s Super Pes.

A total of five finals were watched by 11,096 spectators on the spot.
