Later, anyone can create a channel. At the moment, it seems that only a few and selected channels are in test use.
The channels of the messaging service Whatsapp are now also available in Finland. The channels are on a separate tab and are slowly updated to be available to users. Whatsapp tells about updates on his blog.
WhatsApp, owned by the technology giant Meta, has introduced numerous reforms to its messaging service this year.
Through the new channels, private people, authorities or sports clubs can send messages and pictures to those who follow their channel. For now, you cannot create your own channel to follow, but later that will be possible.
Channels are automatically filtered based on country, Whatsapp says in its blog. It also offers new, most active and most popular channels for viewing.
In Finland, the application offers to follow, for example, domestic artists Pete Parkkonen and Hanna Pakarinen channels and the channel of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. Parkkonen has shared an update on his channel, in which he says that he is sorting out the e-mail fog.
In the service, you can also follow, for example, the football club Manchester United or the streaming service Netflix.
You can react to messages in channels, but the reaction is not visible to other users. However, the total number of reactions will be visible. The fresh service will be updated and its features will be expanded and added.
