Charlotte Baris: To start this episode, I’m going to ask you to imagine a sketch of a doctor. Is he wearing a white coat, or a stethoscope around his neck? If I now add that this doctor is very media-oriented, used to radio and television sets. Maybe a face comes to mind?
I am convinced that the vast majority of you have thought of Michel Cymes, “star doctor” in the public service since the end of the 90s, former RTL columnist and one of the French people’s favorite personalities.
But some have surely thought of another face, increasingly present in the media. Another doctor whose latest book has sold more than 70,000 copies in just six months, whose photo has long been plastered in the corridors of the Paris metro and whose social networks have several hundred thousand subscribers.
This doctor is Dr. Jimmy Mohamed. And since the start of the media season, he has taken the reins of the health magazine (on France 5) two days a week and presents a daily column in the RTL morning show. Yes, you see me coming… He looks like a certain “Michel Cymes” in his time.
So who is Doctor Jimmy Mohamed and what is his recipe for following in the footsteps of the “French’s favorite doctor”? These are the questions we ask La Loupe in this episode…
